The People Experience Science team in Humana's People Analytics organization takes a customer-centric approach to optimizing talent outcomes and improving the experience of our associates. We provide people experience measurement, advanced analytic products, research, and consulting to our Enterprise business leaders and HR centers of excellence. Responsibilities

The Lead Data Scientist will work to enhance and mature the vision of associate experience measurement, products, and solutions at Humana. They will drive analytic value by working with business customers to identify and prioritize advanced analytic use cases. The Lead will collaborate and consult with executives in the business, set objectives, inform strategy, and execute on a customer-centric approach to delivery.

Responsibilities

The Lead Data Scientist - People Experience Science develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured people experience data (e.g., employee engagement and its drivers) and other human capital metric data sets for analysis and reporting

Analyzes data and conducts research to support a deeper-dive understanding of the associate experience, including creation and validation of surveys or other measures

Creates reports, projections, models, and presentations that support business strategy and tactics

Develops and advises on new analytical products, consulting approaches, and delivery mechanisms to advance our associate listening capabilities and strategy

Supports our annual enterprise-wide annual associate experience survey, continuous listening survey, and departure survey programs

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology or a related field

6 years of experience in data analytics, organizational consulting, and experience measurement

2 years project and/or people leadership experience

Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving associate and customer experiences

Successful demonstrated experience in working with senior executives to develop and drive segment or enterprise-wide functional strategies

Experience in using mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions

Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology or a related field

Expertise in organizational theory and employee behavior

Advanced proficiency in psychological measurement, e.g., scale development and validation

Advanced proficiency in statistical methods such as regression, factor analysis, structural equation modeling, natural language processing, etc.

Experience with Microsoft PowerBI or other interactive data presentation/analysis applications

Knowledge/experience working with SQL, Python, R, SAS, SPSS syntax, etc. to compile and analyze data

Additional Information

Vaccine Policy:

Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field. Every associate and contractor who work inside a Humana facility or in the field, regardless of vaccination status, must complete a daily health screening questionnaire.

Work-At-Home Requirements:

WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.

A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.

Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
