The Trinidad and Tobago Exploration Growth team is seeking a geoscientist – with specific strengths in structural geology & seismic interpretation who can contribute to the successful identification and maturation of new plays to support a stated strategy to drill to backfill Atlantic LNG /Domestic Gas Markets ”.
As the Senior Exploration Geoscientist you will be based in Houston and is offered on a local-terms basis. It represents a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to make a material impact on exploration supporting a strategic asset for RDS. The successful candidate will be working on integrated Exploration projects with associated investment levels up to many millions of dollars and will be expected to exercise influence on the direction and cost efficiency of this work. Initial focus will be on regional studies, new play characterisation and new opportunity identified, closely integrated with the T&T Maturation and various New Business Development teams.
In addition to the above – the role also offers the opportunity to support other exploration ventures in the Caribbean/South America (CASA) region as required on an “enterprise first” model. This allows for broad exposure to a range of settings and plays – and allows key learnings to be quickly captured and implemented across our CASA portfolio.

Requirements:
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Advanced university degree in Geoscience (Masters or PhD)
5 years experience in exploration geosciences in exploration competences of Lead Identification Seismic Interpretation and Prospect Volume & Risking together
Good understanding of regional geological concepts and play-based exploration.
Good working knowledge of clastic depositional systems (particularly in the shelf/slope setting) is also necessary a
Complex structural domains (both extensional and compressional) would be an advantage
