Applicant Profile & Skills/Knowledge:
A proven track record of exemplary sales performance
Preferred: Clinical and/or sales experience in the field of multiple sclerosis or other neurological disorders
Ability to develop professional relationships with physicians, nurses and ancillary staff within both academic hospitals, as well as community clinics and private practice facilities
Ability to translate complex scientific data into clear and succinct communication points in both German and English
Ability to independently analyse territory performance data metrics and identify opportunities based on potential
Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare system processes in Switzerland including reimbursement is preferred
Possess a strong work ethic, ability to develop priorities and manage time appropriately
Work with all members of a team collaboratively and effectively
Languages: Fluent German and English required. Italian would be a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for achieving territory sales goals through the promotion, sale and support of company products or services in his/her geographic territory
Engage in direct one-on-one educational communication with physicians and healthcare professionals in support of approved product indications and in alignment with the brand strategy
Plan and organize speaker events, which further support the educational effort of a new product in multiple sclerosis
Develop and maintain respectful and high quality customer relations, identifying mutual values across the target customer spectrum
Communicate clearly, logically, and concisely in a variety of settings including one-on-one sessions, formal group presentations, written communication, etc.
Territory analysis, planning, and management, internal communication
Establish an entrepreneurial and strategic approach to manage your territory proactively and independently
Proactively analyze the territory as well as the underlying customer portfolio including past and current performances, both for the BMS product as well as competitors
Closely monitor competitors' activities in the market place and share insights within the team
Continuously search for incremental opportunities as well as innovative ideas to advance performance
Consolidate and document insights into an ongoing Action Plan in close co-ordination with relevant team members and the sales manager
Take personal ownership and responsibility for achieving sales and market share targets as defined by the sales manager
Ensure regular participation in territory performance reviews, assessments, and action planning to optimize results
Ensure good communication and collaboration with all cross-functional colleagues
Complete all administrative expectations efficiently
Product and indication knowledge
Exhibit a best in class level of franchise, product, and indication knowledge, including that of competitor products
Proactively and independently deepen product and indication knowledge through independent study, company training programs, published data in scientific literature, BMS use cases and through approved attendance of symposia and congresses if possible
Compliance with standards of practice, rules and regulations
Ensure that all materials used for customer communications are BMS-approved, and become fully knowledgeable of BMS tools and platforms such as InterAct
Be compliant with all BMS processes, rules and SOPs such as call activity reporting, the event management tool, and T&E expense collection and reporting
Ensure full compliance with Swiss law and the Pharmacodex
