Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future Chemist II (2200548)– RTP, NC  As part of Global Formulation Development function, conduct cross-indicational formulation development activities with a focus on product launch excellence and regional support for herbicide and fungicide products. The incumbent will support the advancement of lab activities for the development, registration and manufacture of new formulations for Crop Protection as well as provide support for existing product portfolio.   Formula for Success: You will… \tDesign and implement detailed, often complex, formulation R&D programs consistent with approved business cases for active ingredients and formulations \tExecute formulation R&D projects, both regional and global, to achieve company objectives and communicate project status through technical reports and presentations \tDesign, conduct and interpret experiments and studies to advance formulation development while ensuring registerability and manufacturability of the developed products \tAnalyze and identify variables and deviations in samples, procedures, and equipment and then recommend changes if necessary \tPrepare and evaluate experimental formulations using various formulation equipment and procedures???????\tEvaluate formulations using standard physical, chemical and biological methods???????\tOperate and maintain a variety of formulation equipment???????\tUtilize existing and implement new formulation and application technologies within a development program???????\tParticipate in the scale-up and manufacturing launch of the developed products???????\tProvide technical and commercial support after market launch  Ingredients for Success  Minimum Experience Required: \tYour education (B.S. or M.S. in a scientific discipline such as chemistry or biology)  and hands-on practical industry experience in an R&D environment. ???????\tFormulation Development experience, preferably in Crop Protection (related industries are acceptable)???????\tThorough knowledge of formulation technologies (granulation, emulsion, encapsulation, adjuvantation) based on practical use of physical chemistry properties and methods???????\tDemonstrated record of achievement for formulation research and development from discovery to commercialization phases???????\tProven ability to lead, plan, coordinate and complete research projects on difficult problems with cross-functional teams???????\tTrack record of generating new innovation and application of cutting-edge technology???????\tSerious safety focus, attention to detail, problem solving and decision-making skills???????\tInterface with R&D and Manufacturing departments through past roles???????\tCapability in training and supervising newer members of the team, as and when needed???????\tInterest in self-development through continuous learning???????\tMechanical aptitude and some knowledge of engineering principles???????\tStrong written and verbal communication and presentation skills Assets: \tSkilled in polymer science, physical chemistry or colloidal chemistry???????\tKnow-how in the areas of adjuvants and surfactants???????\tBackground in formulation technology for seed solutions, either chemical or biological???????\tExperience in transfer of products from lab to manufacturing scale Create Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer You Adding value to our customers begins with adding value to you.
